California Law
On mediation and confidentiality:
California Evidence Codes § 1119, 1120, 1126, and 1127, make the mediation process a confidential process, that will not be used in a court hearing as the communication is considered privileged. Although mediators are not mandated reporters, our mediators will report any new instances of child abuse or viable threats made against other individuals that arise in the mediation session.
